- Where the material is: ceiling, eaves, bathroom, roof, fence or shed
- Roughly how much: one room, a few metres of fence, the whole house
- When the house or building was built or last renovated
- Whether it's been tested, and the lab result if you have it
- Its condition: intact, cracked, or damaged by a storm or fire
- What you're planning: renovating, demolishing, selling or just finding out
- Photos taken from a safe distance (don't break off a piece)
What happens next
- A licensed removalist contacts you to talk through the job and review your photos.
- Testing, if needed. If it hasn't been tested, sampling is arranged first.
- Site visit and written quote. The quote should list the licence class, controls, any air monitoring, the clearance inspection and disposal.
- You decide. There's no obligation to go ahead.
