Castlemaine Transfer Station (Mount Alexander Shire)

What you can't do
- Kerbside bins. It's illegal to put asbestos in any kerbside bin.
- Skips. Ordinary skip bins can't take asbestos.
- Dumping. Illegal dumping attracts penalties and contaminates land.
Larger and commercial loads
Licensed removalists take asbestos waste to facilities licensed by EPA Victoria to receive it, and the waste movement is tracked. For anything over 10 m², any friable material, contaminated soil or commercial waste, disposal is part of the removal quote.
